I have a confession to make. I have no menu plan this week. The weather is throwing me off. It seems I should be cooking summer food. But in June, 70 degrees feels bone chillingly cold and I want soup. It makes no sense, I know. So here I am today, nothing planned and 2 very sad possibly frost-bitten chicken breasts in the bottom of my freezer. I have a whole lot of little bits of this and that. I just took a peek around my kitchen and have an idea.
Are you perhaps starting to understand why there are so few pictures on my blog? I picture other food bloggers studying recipes, making plans, setting stages and just being, well, organized, calm and very Martha Stewart like. Their children are not making swords out of the highlighter pens in my desk and running around in pajamas at 10:30 in the morning. Why are there highlighters in my desk anyway? What would I ever highlight? Highlighting implies studying, planning, organizing - none of which happen all that often here.
So the flat breads.... I'm going to get them started and I'll be back with Part II soon.
